 Health Risk Assessments
Personal Wellness Profile (PWP) - $25 per employee
This comprehensive health assessment measures lifestyle, health factors and interest in changing behaviors. This will identify the participant’s level of risk in a variety of health factors. Data is gathered and developed using proven scientific guidelines and advanced diagnostic tools for the optimal health of each employee, while maintaining confidentiality. Each participant will receive a detailed confidential report. An executive summary is provided and includes a customized aggregate report identifying high risk areas of concern. This base of information is used to build an effective wellness program tailored to those specific areas of concern.
Health Profiles - $5 per employee
This is a less involved health assessment in which participants answer questions on line or on a standard questionnaire. The answers are used to generate a health profile that will identify health risks for the individual and offer suggestions on how to make improvements. Nutrition, women and heart disease, stress, health age, cancer, coronary risk, exercise, and osteoporosis are each addressed in separate profiles. The results can be given immediately.
 Health Screenings
Cholesterol/Diabetes - $21 per person
This screening measures the risk for cardiovascular disease. The results included in the total lipid profile are: total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and blood glucose. This requires a 12-hour fast and a finger stick. Results are immediate and educational hand-outs are included. Counseling is available for an additional $5 per person and is provided by KMC health care professionals.
Diabetes Screening - $10 per person
This blood sugar test requires an eight-hour fast and a finger stick. Results are immediate.
Calcium Scoring CT - $99 per employee

Heart Print Screening - $15 per employee
A 12-Lead EKG provided at KMC informs the participant about the electrical activity of the heart. Results are confirmed by a cardiologist and then mailed to each participant. Corporate on-site screenings may be done for an additional fee.
Metabolic Syndrome - $35 per person
Metabolic syndrome is characterized by a cluster of risk factors, including abdominal obesity, elevated blood pressure, insulin resistance, low HDL (good) cholesterol and high blood fats. People with metabolic syndrome are at a higher risk for heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. This screening will consist of a total lipid profile plus glucose, height, weight, blood pressure, body fat analysis, waist circumference and a comprehensive diabetes risk profile. A 12-hour fast is required.
Stroke Screening - $109 for all three tests or $45 each
Early detection is a key factor in preventing and treating cardiac disease and stroke. Three painless vascular screenings are offered, requiring less than 15 minutes per test. We screen the carotid arteries, arteries in the leg, and abdominal aorta using ultrasound technology.
Body Fat Analysis - $5 per employee
Lean versus fat weight is determined using a bioelectrical impedance machine. Results are immediate. Recommendations for fat loss are discussed with a KMC health care professional.
Resting Metabolic Rate - $25 per employee
The calorimeter is used to measure your resting metabolic rate. This helps to determine your caloric expenditure for weight loss purposes. This test also includes a body fat analysis.
Lung Function - $30 per employee
This simple pulmonary function test (PFT) helps to identify respiratory problems with the lungs. Results are read by a physician and mailed back to the participants.
Prostate Cancer/PSA - $17.50 per employee
An elevated PSA level may indicate problems with the prostate gland, but is not always cancerous. The American Cancer Society recommends that men age 50 and older consider having a prostate screening. A blood draw is required.
Colon and Rectal Cancer - $10 per employee
This is a take-home, mail-back hemoccult kit with 3 slides. It detects hidden blood in the bowel movement, which is one possible sign of colon and rectal cancer. Awareness Tools
Hand Washing
This is an interactive presentation that teaches proper hand washing technique. Areas of the hand missed in routine hand washing will glow brightly under the special light. This is an opportunity to improve technique and become educated about the importance of effective hand washing. Proper cleansing of the hands has been shown to drastically reduce bacteria and germ transmission.
Sun Exposure
Unseen damage is hidden under the top layer of the skin and revealed with our DermaScan. The damaged skin, caused by unprotected exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays, is seen by the participant. We take this opportunity to educate about skin cancer and the importance of being protected using sunscreen lotions, clothing and headwear.
Stress Dots
A Stress Dot is applied to the back part of the hand. The body’s response to stress will cause a change in colors. This bio-feed back tool will help the participant to understand the affects of stress on the body. This is a great tool for teaching stress reduction techniques.
Alcohol Awareness Goggles
This awareness booth will help participants understand how quickly the effects of alcohol can create devastating consequences for anyone who drives or works under the influence. The goggles cause distorted vision and behaviors that are similar to someone under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. By sliding on the goggles, the participant will suddenly feel as if they have a blood alcohol concentration (B.A.C.) ranging from 0.06-0.2. Simple tasks are attempted to demonstrate the impairment at each level.
